Our goal is to provide a sense of belonging to the Trek group and for the 7th and 8th graders to either accept the Lord, if they haven't, or to have spiritual growth in their lives if they are already Christians.

We have a time together in the beginning to get a sense of what the lesson for the night is. Then we split the girls from the boys and have leaders work with them through Awana books. The goal for these books is learning that we all are lost without accepting Christ and to learn to trust Him and serve Him. These books have projects as well as lessons that include reading and Bible verses to memorize.

The second thing we have is game time. All sorts of games are played ; volleyball, frisbee, golf, dodge ball or whatever the leader feels like inventing that particular night. The goal for games is fun and exercise.

Along with the Awanagames, Awana also has a yearly quizzing contest. As with Awanagames, this is against other churches. Quizzing is on whatever Biblical content Awana chooses for that year.

Awana has three different series we alternate through for the lesson time, which is at the end of the evening. The Bronze, Gold, or Silver series books. Each one lasts for one Awana season. The kids get a handout paper during the lesson time that goes along with that night's lesson. Leaders and the club secretary record all of the verses or projects that the kids do. Stripes and awards are handed out, weekly or at the end of the year on an official Awana Awards night when the whole church is invited and family and friends of the clubbers of all ages. Come and join us !
