We are excited what God will do with our youth as we seek to utilize their energy and youthful spirit to further the kingdom!

Vision for youth ministry: Come alongside parents to make disciples.

How we do this:

1. YOUTH LEADERS/MENTORS: Training and mobilizing youth leaders who love Jesus and love youth. Our desire is that the pastor and our youth leaders will be another voice in their lives that will speak truth and love.

2. FUN EVENTS which will facilitate an environment where they can get to know the pastor and youth leaders. Events often include:
             a. Annual winter camp (typically in February)
             b. All night event (typically around Christmas break)
             c. Periodic outings such as movie night, mini golf, boating, etc
             d. Late spring retreat to a roller coaster park
             e. Summer camp or Missions trip

3. WEEKLY MEETINGS and SUNDAY SCHOOL

a. Wednesday night program includes biblical teaching that is relative to a teenagers life, fun games, and testimonies.

b. Sunday School is at 9:30am and is designed to help students know how to study and apply God's word. We also enjoy a light breakfast together.

4. CONNECTION TO THE BODY: We want your young person to feel loved by his/her church family. Therefore we are developing a mentor relationship with older people in the church. We would like for our youth to have an older person who intentionally reaches out to them through prayer and support. Ideally we hope that this relationship can turn into a discipleship relationship whereby they get together to talk about life, pray, and spend time in the Word. We realize this must be the Spirit's working and that no program can make this happen. However, this is our goal. The people in our church truly love the youth and hope to make them feel included in the body in any way possible.

5. EQUIPPING PARENTS: Our Pastor is always available to meet with parents for advice on any issue with their teenager. He has worked with youth for ten years. He was a youth pastor for 8 years and a counselor to at-risk youth for 2 years. His heart is to help the parent have a healthy and God-honoring relationship with their teenager. Pastor TJ will periodically have parent training seminars whereby he will address topics such as: how to talk with your teenager about sexual purity, how to prepare them for adulthood, how to intentionally disciple your young person.
